How to get along with your: Type 1 Boss

They fear being wrong or bad. (Being criticized is one of their least favorite things) Coping with their fear often comes out as resentment, irritation, or frustration with themselves or with others.
They long to hear simply “you are good.”

If you notice your boss is stuck getting overly focused on what’s going wrong with a campaign, help them focus on what’s going right.
Type 1s have a superpower for spotting even the smallest wrong or imperfection. They aren’t necessarily looking for every single thing, but the details leap out at them. If they’re not careful, they can get stuck in a pattern of only seeing what’s wrong.
Remind them to celebrate the wins. Keep a list of wins as they happen and remind your boss of those wins whenever they are stuck focusing on the bad.
